During the ridiculous blackout a few quick-witted brands took to social networks to make for some cost effective advertising. The clear winner online was Twitter, who dominated Facebook, Google+ and all other social networks. Twitter’s report for Sunday’s Super Bowl game shows that it was a huge event on the social network, with users posting 24.1 million tweets about the game and the halftime show.
When it comes to second-screen advertising, it’s Twitter’s world now and there’s no close second place.
